Take off

Kirama is a new brand of hand-crafted leather goods of timeless, refined and sustainable French manufacture, committed to a united approach for fashion that is conscious of today’s social and environmental issues.

CONSUME LESS, CONSUME BETTER.

My story

My name is Marika.

Designer by training, I started by decorating children’s rooms with a passion for handling and assembling fabrics.

Then I moved towards the creation of educational tools intended for use in workshops concerning eco-citizenship in primary schools within the Bobo Planète organization.

Revelation

In 2020, I discovered the beauty, elegance and intimacy that a bag can evoke when I trained at the Louis Vuitton School of Craftsmanship to learn the skills of leatherwork.

After this trip to the land of excellence, I was ready to launch an artisanal leather goods brand far away from the performance targets demanded by industrial processes on a global scale.

Today, fashion must be part of ecological transition. If a bag is an accessory, the environmental commitment it represents must be in harmony with the emotional commitment it conveys: its manufacturing process must be remarkable for a lasting fashion product with an exclusive design.

I have chosen to present the models to you one by one at close and regular intervals in order to take the time to strive for perfection in design and production and to avoid overstocking.

My # 1 model is called BRAVO echoing the aeronautical alphabet, like a journey during which our bag becomes a faithful and intimate companion.

My values

Convenient

I have always been a city dweller and often travel by bike, hence the idea of giving my first model a multifunctional design: carry it in your hand, on your wrist, shoulder or back in order to have freedom of movement while retaining the elegance of this feminine bag.

Unique

Convinced that our visual identity is the affirmation of our style, like the first impression we wish to convey, it doesn’t take much to give our bag a unique touch. An unconditional fan of embroidery (with thousands of them under my belt), I suggest you personalize BRAVO as you wish with leather embroidery using the eyelet system.

Ethics.

Follower of the Made in France movement and local sourcing of materials, excellence in the manufacturing process is at the heart of my concerns so that each model leaving my workshop will accompany you for a long time.

My zero waste values result in the priority use of leftover leather as well as delivery of each bag in a tote bag matching its inside lining.

On the production side, I would like to take you behind the scenes via my Instagram account to confirm excellent value for money in complete transparency.
